My name is Lori Alterman Aronsky and I live in the Philadelphia area. I have a daughter who was diagnosed with food allergies in 2003. Naturally, I was terrified and did not know where to turn. I kept thinking to myself, I wish I knew someone that could help me and my family understand how to live with this potentially life threating condition. Someone who could help remove the anxieties of living with a food allergy. A person who could help educate us and be there as an ongoing resource… An ALLY! Doctors are a great resource, but nothing takes the place of someone who is concerned daily with the following issues:
- School
- Play Dates
- Childcare
- Birthday Parties
- Camp
- Hotels
- Airlines
- Grocery Shopping
- Restaurants
- and more…
Why should anyone else have to start at the beginning when I have already successfully navigated around all of these issues? For over 7 years, through trial and error, I have successfully managed to raise my daughter in a normal and safe environment. I now want to provide my knowledge and experience to others so they will not have to “reinvent the wheel.”
I have extensive experience working with school principals, camp directors, child therapists, pediatricians, and many more key people. My guidance has helped create allergy safe school menus, bake sales, field trips, holiday parties, camp menus, etc…
I can help ensure the physical and mental safety of individuals living with food allergies.
I want to make my knowledge, experience, and empathy available to anyone who is facing this overwhelming situation. I know what you need and want because I have been there. Through my participation in local and national organizations and my attendance at annual conferences, I am able to stay knowledgeable on current developments regarding food allergies. I will make myself available via email, in person and / or telephone to anybody who needs guidance and support.
Looking forward to helping you,
Lori Aronsky “Your Food Allergy Ally”
